It’s a tough job as we sift through a ton of high-quality tracks just to settle for just 5 so we switched it up so now we curating the Top 10 Submissions. Now that is what we call dedication, so sit back relax and get familiar with these acts.

Jen N Juice – “Ain’t The Same”

 

Jen N Juice kicks off this week’s list with the smooth single “Ain’t The Same” which displays her poetic style and engaging flow. Backed by a soft, dreamy backdrop, she details her experiences in a relationship gone sour and has since left the situation and has moved on to better things.

Saint Lane – “Hickeys”

Budding singer/songwriter Saint Lane delivers a unique melodic track he calls “Hickeys.” The sun-drenched track sees him in his element as he keeps it catchy and relatable. Pierce Ripanti x Nale THPC – “Soul Safe” feat. Siti

 

Up and coming rapper Pierce Ripanti teams up with Nale THPC and Siti for the visual for his song “Soul Safe”. A self-reflective piece that sees the emcees dwell on the myriad of issues they are wading through. Hit the play button and check it out.
Born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, He finished his division 1 football career at Lehigh University and passed on the routine 9 to 5 and decided to follow his dreams of becoming a multi-platinum recording artist.

Muyinza – “Too Hard”

Muyinza puts his emotions in line with his heartwarming track titled “Too Hard.” He takes some time to address 2 distinct situations where he was cheated on (both got pregnant when they did) using an open letter approach.
The talented artist really uses his experiences to craft a very relatable song that hits the soul and then some.

 

 

 

Adrian Milanio x Olivia Escuyos x RJ Suave – “Where You Wanna Go”

 

Adrian Milanio comes through with that classic sexy R&B vibe on his new song titled “Where You Wanna Go.” Backed by a lush alluring backdrop, the singer delivers an engaging performance as he lets his partner know that whatever they do doesn’t matter as long as they are spending time together. Along for the ride is singer Olivia Escuyos who starts off the track with her angelic vocals and rapper RJ Suave.

 

 

 

Bor Luos – “Blurry Lines”

Bor Luos ‘s “Blurry Lines” is a dark broody insight into the mindstate of a troubled individual. He employs an ethereal backdrop as the backdrop for his emotionally charged performance.

Omniscient Art – “Monopoly Man”

 

Omniscient Art comes through with this emotion-driven piece that displays his determination to make it in this game. Titled “Monopoly Man”, Omniscient Art lends his all to craft this piece as we get to see him in a somewhat vulnerable state. He lets the listener know that he is willing to go the extra mile to make it to the apex and probably one day perform at the famous Broadway.

Coast Contra – “Legacy”

 

Hip-hop quartet Coast Contra make their debut on our list with their edgy track titled “Legacy.” The song is the follow up to their first track “Queen & Slim” as a group. Like the title says the four-man group focus on leaving a long-lasting legacy that will stand even after they are long gone. Coast Contra consists of Ras and Taj Austin, twin sons of songstress Teedra Moses and legendary rapper Ras Kass, as well as Eric Jamal from Philly and Rioloz, hailing from Cali, Colombia.
Coast Contra’s first official single “Queen & Slim” is the title track from the blockbuster movie with the same name, released by Motown Records in November 2019. After releasing their first mixtape ‘The Coast Contra Volume Tape, Vol. 1,’ the trio later found its fourth member Eric Jamal, a bubbling rapper out of North Philadelphia, PA. Kai Roberts – “Celebrate”

 

Up and coming rapper Kai Roberts thrills us with the energetic vibes on his single titled “Celebrate.” Over a rock-infused upbeat backdrop, he details the ups and downs as a college student peppered with all the zany experiences from his perspective. “Celebrate” is the lead single from his album Carnegie Cafe.

Chrisfrmkro – “…til the cops come knockin’”

 

St. Louis rapper, producer, singer chrisfrmkro kicks off the new year strong with his latest single “…til the cops come knockin’ .” He employs a lush, neo-soul soundscape that samples Maxwell’s 1996 single of the same name and delivers a melodic autotune performance. Chrisfrmkro sure brings whole new energy on this one as he details what it feels like having sexual relations in the backseat of your car while being surrounded by drugs and guns. On paper that sounds wild already. The song is slated to appear on chrisfrmkro’s upcoming project “I’m just as lost as you” which will be released at the end of February.

Habitat – “Dopamine”

Habitat shows us what true lyricism is on his new cut titled “Dopamine,” a dark trap cut that showcases the rapper’s message-driven style. He talks about how fixated and emotionally attached people get to Social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook, it also dives into how these companies use people’s insecurities to increase profits.  It’s pretty relatable and thought-provoking.

B-Light x Locksmith – “Key Of Light”

East Coast Artist B-Light and West Coast Artist Locksmith team up for an epic collaboration titled “Key Of Light” that truly showcases the duo’s dense lyricism and unique perspectives. Backed by a broody, cinematic backdrop the duo pulls no punches on this hard-hitting gem.

Nick de la Hoyde – “High”

Singer Nick de la Hoyde‘s “High” is an anthemic soulful piece that dives into the euphoria of love and life as it is. Nick goes beyond the norm as he explores new melodic territory on a twisted bed of organic and synthesized sounds. The song also details a twisted relationship, a metaphor for Nick’s artistic journey

“High” is a single from Nick de la Hoyde’s debut album ‘A Beautiful Mess’. The album was co-written and produced by his brother Joseph (aka ZU/ZU) featuring tracks written alongside fellow Australian and Swedish based songwriters.
