The Joker’s Barely In ‘Suicide Squad,’ But Now He’s A Music Video Star

In case you’ve been living in a media-proof bunker:  A) “Suicide Squad” opened on Friday B) The critics hated it C) It still did really well at the box office and D) The Joker was hardly in the movie.

The caped crusader’s arch-nemesis barely racks up 15 minutes of screen time, according to Variety. He disappears halfway through the movie, only to pop up in the final scene.

So it’s fitting that this great injustice has been course-corrected with the music video for “Purple Lamborghini,” one of the tracks off the film’s far better reviewed soundtrack

In the video dropped on Friday, Jared Leto’s Joker appears alongside rapper Rick Ross in a song helmed by Skrillex, as they wreak havoc in Gotham City. The trio convene in a club tailor-made for the supervillain knives everywhere, masked men, scantily-clad women before taking in the city’s sights by boat and, of course, a cavalcade of tricked out vehicles.

Ross and Leto, who admitted his downgraded role took him aback, both announced the video’s release on Instagram.
