Six Flags Roller Coaster Passengers TRAPPED 100 Feet Off The Ground!

Holy crap, just looking at this is giving us vertigo!

Six cars got stuck on the Joker’s Jinx roller coaster at Six Flags America on Thursday — with 24 people trapped about 100 feet in the air!

Here’s how the Largo, Maryland theme park describes the Joker’s Jinx:

“The track is literally draped and piled on top of itself with such dense complexity you won’t believe they can fit a roller coaster train through there, let alone one moving at 60 mphbut the Joker always seems to have the last laugh. Without any pauses or braking, you’ll blast through a cobra roll, a sidewinder loop, a corkscrew, and countless swift reversals in between.”

Unfortunately, this one did pause, for over two hours. The local fire department was called in to try to safely bring down the passengers, though the height and shape of the ride are making it very difficult.

As of this writing, the most recent update we’ve gotten from Six Flags is:

Innerestingly enough, two dozen passengers were stuck on the same ride three years ago. So you’d think they had some kind of plan in place for this.

And just think, this crazy thing could have stalled with the passengers UPSIDE DOWN! Scary thought.

You can watch some of the rescue footage for yourself (below)!
