In case you haven’t had a good cry yet today, Sam Smith just released the “Too Good At Goodbyes” music video and it’s sure to make you ugly cry. The music video features a handful of couples holding each other as if they’re about to say goodbye forever, and it makes me want to say goodbye forever to my life. Sam Smith has ended me yet again, and it’s honestly just getting rude at this point.
The song quickly went number one after it dropped on Friday, Sept. 8, and fans are insanely excited that Smith is finally coming out with his second album. If “Too Good At Goodbyes” is any indication of what’s to come on the album, then we’re in for yet another emotional roller coaster from our favorite sad songbird. My only question is, when are Sam Smith and Adele going to collab? They’re basically each other’s musical counterparts (except Adele has been around longer and has a lot more awards), so this needs to happen. Just think about it, they can combine their names and call their collab Sadele, aka Sad for short. Get it! ‘Cause they make you sob uncontrollably about your ex, and then they make you want to call your ex, and then you’re sad about it! ! I’m sorry.
Anyway, here’s the “Too Good At Goodbyes” music video:
Fans are expressing their love for Sam through their sobs, as one does when listening to this melancholy angel of heartbreak.
The mood on the internet following this crazy romantic/crazy heartbreaking music video is “.”
Here are the “Too Good At Goodbyes” lyrics:
