During a high-profile benefit concert over the weekend, Pharrell took a knee.

At Sunday’s Dave Matthews Band-organized Concert For Charlottesville—which featured performances from Ariana Grande, Justin Timberlake, and more—the Virginia native showed his support for Colin Kaepernick and other NFL players who kneel during the national anthem and those kneeling in protest of Trump’s most recent remarks about the national anthem.

“If I want to get on my knees right now, for the people in my city, for the people in my state, that’s what that flag is for,” he said.

Joining in the protest, Stevie Wonder took a knee at the Global Citizen Festival in NYC this weekend, as well as the Concert for Charlottesville. Eddie Vedder took a knee at the Pilgrimage Festival in Tennessee. John Legend did the same in Hamburg.

Rapper J. Cole went even further, tweeting that people should protest by not watching NFL games.
