If Mariah Carey really doesn’t want to be known as the Queen of Christmas, this sure is a good start.
The singer announced on Friday afternoon that she has to cancel three more dates on her All I Want for Christmas is You tour, citing ongoing health concerns that have manifested themselves as an upper respiratory infection.

The singer’s tour had originally been scheduled for a November 17th kickoff date, but she last week pulled the plug on the first few shows. Yesterday, she canceled three more shows citing the infection as cause.
Now, Carey’s Christmas tour will officially begin on December 2nd when she takes the stage in New York City.
She shared on Instagram this weekend a post explaining her decision, and a special message to fans (below):
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with loved ones; it’s certainly nice to remember what we are grateful for! Like most, I’m thankful for my overall health… for which I need a bit more time to get right. Doctors have ordered a few extra days of rest before I can finally fly to New York and take the stage for my Christmas Tour. While this news disappoints me to share, I am grateful to be on the mend and for the support from all of you – it means the world to me! See you from the stage soon darlings! ❤, Mariah Read more: mariahcarey.comA post shared by Mariah Carey (@mariahcarey) on Nov 24, 2017 at 3:39pm PST
