Two can play at this game… show.
Andy Cohen and Jamie Foxx are already at the top of the game in their respective fields — late night TV hosting and singing/acting, of course — but they’re both about to get into another game.
That’s because it was just announced that the Bravo exec and the Oscar winner will be hosting two new game shows on FOX next season!

Plus, you’re probably already familiar with both brands — Love Connection and Beat Shazam!
During the Television Critics’ Association press tour on Wednesday, FOX entertainment president David Madden teased Andy’s updated version of Chuck Woolery‘s iconic 1980s/’90s dating game via press release, writing:
“Each hour of Love Connection will feature single men and/or women in search of romance. After the singles are sent on three blind dates, they will dish the dirt in front of a live studio audience, as Cohen, the well-known provocateur, brings his personal brand of audacious fun to the series.”
Plus, with The Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss already attached — this one actually sounds like a hit!
Jamie’s Beat Shazam, on the other hand, seems way too gimmicky for today’s TV audience’s short attention span…
Executive Producer Mark Burnett did his best to explain his television version of the popular music identification app in his press release, saying:
“During each episode of Beat Shazam, four teams of two players will go ear-to-ear for a chance to win a cash prize. In each round, Foxx will present a choice of two music categories, ranging from ’80s Favorites’ to Beyonc Hits.’ Teams will hear a song and try to identify its correct title before all the other teams. As the rounds progress, quicker pairs will continue building their banks, while players with the lowest score will be eliminated until only one team remains. That team will play man-versus-machine and attempt to Beat Shazam!”
Well, at least it’s guaranteed to be better than CBS‘ Candy Crush adaptation…

But regardless of our first impressions, we’ll probably end up tuning in to both when they air sometime next season on FOX!
