Jake Knox reflects on his life in “Los Angeles” [lyric video]

By Tayo Odutola Word Is Bond

Rising artist Jake Knox has been through a lot and on his new single aptly titled “Los Angeles” he reflects on some of his struggles. Over a solemn and reflective backdrop, he talks about heartbreak, lack of funds and support, and the eventual realization that he will survive it all regardless. He delivers his story with a pint of humor and nonchalance but the vivid lyrical imagery hits home for anyone who has been in a similar situation.

The visual captures Jake Knox’s laid-back demeanor and makes use of long performance shots on the streets. I like the simplicity and DIY feel of this one.
