The Governors Ball Music Festival in New York canceled its third day on Sunday and people were not happy about it.
“Sunday, June 5th of Gov Ball 2016 has officially been cancelled, due to severe weather and a high likelihood of lightning in the area,” read a statement on the festival’s website. “The safety of fans, artists and crew always comes first.”
This is the second time bad weather has forced the festival to change its plans. In 2013, Kings of Leon and other performers had to scrap their sets due to torrential rain.
Upon hearing the disappointing news, festival-goers shared their frustrations on Twitter.
Even the scheduled performers, including Cold War Kids and Betty Who, were sad.
The festival will issue refunds for those who bought tickets directly through the website, as will StubHub. But those who purchased through friends or other third-party vendors are pretty much out of luck.
At least the festival organizers want everyone to know “we are just as devastated as you.”
This post has been updated to note that StubHub will also be giving buyers their money back.
