Chance the Rapper marked what will be President Barack Obama’s last holiday season in office by spoofing Run-DMC’s “Christmas in Hollis” track on “Saturday Night Live.”
The hip-hop star joined forces with regular “SNL” cast members Kenan Thompson and Leslie Jones for the music video of the catchy “Jingle Barack” song. There was even a cameo appearance by the real-life DMC, aka Darryl McDaniels, toward the end.
But the upbeat number came with a serious message, principally a warning of what will happen this time next year — once President-elect Donald Trump is in the White House.
“Hey kids enjoy the presents while you can, because next year you might get a bomb from Iran,” rapped Thompson, with Chance later adding: “I’mma hurt myself before we lose Obamacare.”
