Wayne Brady Is Quarantined With Daughter, "Best Friend" Ex-Wife, & Ex's BF

The COVID-19 quarantine is forcing some people to go outside of their comfort zones in order to maintain some semblance of normal life. Yet, not everyone has the stomach, or the healthy relationship with their ex, to go as far as Wayne Brady. In an interview with Access, Brady admitted that he’s been under quarantine with his ex-wife and her boyfriend as they co-parent.

“Me ex-wife Mandy and I, we have a different and I think a very special situation than a lot of people that co-parent,” he said. “Our daughter is 17 so it’s also different than if she were five. For the entire duration of her life, we have co-parented as best friends. We’ve also lived seven minutes away from each other at the most. Right now, we live virtually next door to each other so our quarantining is a little different. We quarantine between both of our homes and I’ve got a big backyard and lots of land, so we share this land and this space.”

Brady went on to say that his daughter, his ex-wife, and his ex-wife’s boyfriend are all a family so they naturally share resources and space. “This new nuclear family… Family is everything to me, so moments like this bring you closer,” he said. “So, we’ve been doing TikToks, we’ve been playing board games, we played Spades, Hearts. We’ve been in my studio writing songs, we sing together and freestyling, walking the dogs up the canyon up the street.” He added that they’re taking advantage of this “time out” to strengthen their bond as a family. Could you live with your ex and their new partner under quarantine? Check out Wayne Brady speak about his healthy family relationship and more in full below.

[VIDEO] Alex Mali recognizes the root of the “Problem”

By Tayo Odutola Word Is Bond

Brooklyn based singer/songwriter Alex Mali drops the visuals for her single “Problem.”  The record thrives in the mid-tempo range and sees the emerging act deliver a blend of styles fusing R&B and hip-hop in a seamless fashion. Over the bouncy trap-infused backdrop, she delivers a fiery performance that is reminiscent of a young Kelis with a  SZA -Esque swagger. Young and confident, Mali knows what she wants and is not ready to play games with someone who is obviously doing the opposite.

The visual, directed by OMNI and Mali herself is very expressive and edgy as it fully embodies what Mali stands for. She is comfortable in her skin and doesn’t pander to the public. From the cinematic performance focus shots to the lips-only cutaway scenes, we get a glimpse into Mali as a creative who is pushing the boundaries of her art at every chance she gets. Alex Mali’s second EP Phenom is due out late Spring 2020.

Lil Quill Drops Off Eerie Banger "Feel Like"

Whether alongside Yung Mal as Mal and Quill or doing his solo work, Lil Quill has continued to make strides in Atlanta and beyond. It does feel like we don’t get as much music from him or Yung Mal as much as we would like but they do come through with bangers every so often. Earlier today, Quill unleashed his new single, “Feel Like.” Straight out the trenches, the production sounds like it would soundtrack a horror film which only enhanced by Quill’s deadpan delivery.

Hopefully, this is a sign that he has some new music on the way. The rapper released his last project, Don Quillion last fall. Keep your eyes peeled for more new music from Lil Quill in the forthcoming future and check his new song below.

Quotable Lyrics
That’s tragic, she sexy
I done get paid for my birthday bashes
Fall off, they vanish like magic
No talkin’, get hit with that action

Brittney Taylor Explains Drunken IG Fight At Tommie Lee's House

Sometimes that Henny hits a little too hard and for Brittney Taylor, the dark liquor packed a heavy punch. While some people are self-isolating during this quarantine, others see social distancing as keeping strangers away. Friend circles are continuing to spend time with each other behind closed doors, including Love & Hip Hop stars Tommie Lee, Bobby Lytes, and Brittney Taylor.

If Taylor’s name sounds familiar, it’s because she was the person who accused Remy Ma of assault. The case dragged out for months as they repeatedly made court appearances, and while Taylor insists that Remy punched her in the face for no reason at all, her lawsuit was dismissed. Taylor has continued to defend herself and keeps her social media interaction to a minimum, but she popped up with her reality television friends for an interesting Instagram moment.

Tommie Lee recorded the drunken fight between Brittney Taylor and another friend and shared it on her Instagram Story. Later, Tommie and Bobby were together when they got on Live once again, this time with Taylor in a split-screen. It’s obvious that Taylor was intoxicated as she attempted to explain what happened. She then went on to tell Bobby Lytes just how fake of a person he is. Taylor later shared a post-and-delete message where she admitted to being drunk but says she was attacked by her “friend” who “completely lost it on me out of nowhere.” Check it all out below.

NFL Officially Approves Big Changes To Its Playoff Format

NFL football is still quite a few months away but that hasn’t stopped the owners from holding meetings in order to discuss some of the importing rules for next season. Over the past couple of months, there have been discussions about changing the playoff format and adding a couple of teams. Well, today, the NFL owners officially voted to change the playoff format which will come into effect, this season.

The new format is pretty simple. Instead of 12 teams, there will be 14 teams to make the playoffs. Each conference will now have three wild card teams which means wild card weekend will have three games on Saturday and three games on Sunday. From now on, only the first seed in each conference will get a bye, as opposed to two. The NFL explained this decision on its website.

Per the NFL:

“Adding an additional playoff team in each conference means only the No.1 seeds in the AFC and NFC will earn a postseason bye, a massive advantage to the top club each year. While it’s been suggested that adding playoff teams could dilute the regular season, with the No. 1 spot earning an even bigger advantage than previous seasons, it could make the final weeks for vital for clubs battling for postseason position.”

Let us know in the comments below what you think of the new changes and be sure to stay tuned for more NFL news as free agency continues to ramp up.
