Tyga Links With Mr Eazi On "Tony Montana"

While he’s been dipping his feet in Latin-inspired waters as of late, Tyga has hopped yet another border to join Mr Eazi on the Nigerian artist’s newest “Tony Montana” single. The track finds both men flexing over the Killertunes-produced backdrop as they bring together their distinct flavor on the cut.

“The energy of the record defines where I am right now in my head,” says Eazi of the new offering. “It’s like an announcement of my transition from Mr Eazi to Don Eazi. Once Killertunes (the song’s producer) sent the record, it was an instant connection. I had two possible records I wanted to do with Tyga, one uptempo and this one, and he was attracted to this one more naturally. Working with Tyga has been a true collaboration — from writing to mixing, mastering and the video — I’m learning so much from him.”

H&M Plans To Test Clothing Rental Service For Environmental Purposes

H&M has had its fair share of controversial moments this year alone and now the company is continuing to move past such instances by announcing a clothing rental service program that will be tested out in Stockholm, Sweden, Business of Fashion reports. Andrew Burton/Getty ImagesAccording to the publication, members of the retail store's loyalty program will get access to 50 garments a month that they can rent out for up to $37 USD a week. After this three month testing period, H&M will assess all aspects of the program and decide if the model can be welcomed globally. The decision to test the rental program is in an effort to work on the company's environmental footstep, such as cutting down on the greenhouse gases that come from clothing factories. "We have a huge belief in rental, but we still want to test and learn quite a lot and do tweaks and changes," H&M’s head of business development, Daniel Claesson stated. Other stores such as Urban Outfitters and the Banana Republic have reportedly used this model before. In other H&M updates, earlier in the summer the company reportedly had $4.3 billion worth of unsold clothing. We can only hope the apparel was donated to charity or put to good use.

Pink Sweat$ Updates Donny Hathaway's "This Christmas"

The holidays always mark the occasion for some of our favorite vocalists to rework classic tracks in line with the festivities. Pink Sweat$ is the latest to attack the trend, dishing out a modest touch-up to “This Christmas” retaining the track’s original voice, Donny Hathaway, to complete the update.

The new track marks a step away from the Philadelphia-bred singer’s preparations for his forthcoming Pink Planet album as he looks to spread holiday cheer. Hopefully, such cheer will carry over into the reception of the debut studio effort. Speaking with Zane Lowe of the upcoming project, he described it as a “high-end convenience store.”

Until that arrives, listen to “This Christmas” below.

Maaly Raw Clears The Air After Lil Uzi Vert's Rant: "Self Made Self Paid"

The Lil Uzi Vert and Maaly Raw situation is not done being played out in social media. Recently in the Twitterverse, Uzi called his former producer a "snake," claiming that he made off with $20,000 and Raw claims the two have never had issues. Well, Maaly isn't done airing out his feelings on the subject because he tweeted some major shade this morning. The producer wrote, "The Industry Gotta Stop Pushing This “Sad” Shit Errbody Wanna Be So Fuckin Sad & Delusional Shit Got N****s Sayin Anything Doin Anything, That Shit Take The Attention Off Mf’s Who Really Be Depressed Needing That Help Fr."Bennett Raglin/Getty ImagesThe tweet demonstrates obvious frustration at the situation and general commentary about the music industry. In Lil Uzi Vert's twitter rant where he calls out Maaly Raw as a snake, he also takes shots at Playboi Carti, DJ Drama and Don Cannon among others. According to Raw, the story is actually a big misunderstanding and the Twitter rant was supposedly sparked by misinformation given to Uzi from Maaly Raws ex-manager. The two used to be so tight and create such dope music, the question that now remains is: once a bromance is broken, can it be repaired?

Image Comics Teases New Series That Is "Breaking Bad" Meets "Star Wars"

Image Comics is bringing us a new series that is supposedly a cross-section between “Breaking Bad” and “Star Wars.” The new science fiction fantasy Tartarus is set for a digital and print release on February 12, 2020, but the publisher has given us some insight into the new literature. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the storyline follows Tilde, “a cadet framed for crimes against the empire” who is searching for answers and finds out that her mom was a significant figure in the colony of Tartarus, during a galactic war that took place long ago.

Johnnie Christmas and Jack T. Cole are the creative team behind Tartarus. Christmas says, “Jack and I wanted to build a world steeped in all the great sci-fi we love from Star Wars to Blade Runner and great drama from Breaking Bad to the Odyssey.” He goes on saying, “We got to cooking up this ambitious idea of mixing sci-fi, Greek mythology, starships, alchemy, intergalactic dating apps all into a big pot and made what became Tartarus.” That combination seems like an interesting recipe for a narrative of any kind, but definitely a comic back.

Jack T. Cole adds, “There is mysticism next to technology, ancient architecture carved into brutalist complexes, and outfits inspired by everything from Napoleonic uniforms to high fashion.” Cole continues saying, “Our hope is to create a rich sense of world that will draw readers in and compliment the scenes of visceral action, adventure, and mayhem.” A mix between “Breaking Bad” and “Star Wars?” Sounds like there’s potential for adventure and mayhem for real.

Megan Thee Stallion Gets Kash Doll To Drive The Boat In Detroit

The ladies have been having a great run in the past two years. That’s not to say that women haven’t been killing it before then but it feels like there’s been a brighter spotlight shining on the ladies in recent times. Of course, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B are two of the bigger names in the game but Megan Thee Stallion is a young queen in the making.

The thing about Megan is that she’s a likable individual and comes across very genuine in the public eye. She strays away from beef and tries to bring people together as much as possible. Maybe that’s the Southern hospitality in her but she brings that energy with her everywhere she goes. Last night, she headed out to Detroit and of course, she had to touch down with Kash Doll. Kash hit the ‘Gram where she shared a quick video of herself driving the boat. With Megan pouring the D’usse, Kash Doll couldn’t help but hit the Woah right after. On her Instagram post, she revealed that she didn’t drive the boat once, but twice. Things undoubtedly got litty, even though it’s no longer a Hot Girl Summer.

Waka Flocka is loving the energy, though. The rapper slid into TheShadeRoom where applauded Megan and Kash Doll. “Queens please keep this energy,” he wrote. “These young ladies need to see unity.”

Peep the video below.

Arjuna Oakes thrills us with some good old vibes on “Old School Heart”

By teckzilla Word Is Bond

Rising New Zealand Soul/Jazz musician Arjuna Oakes makes his debut on our page with a heartfelt cut that bridges the gap between the old and the new. Aptly titled “Old School Heart”, the soft-voiced singer delivers a soul-gripping performance that showcases his versatility and wide range of styles. Over a rousing jazz ensemble, Oakes brings back the classic vibes of soul-infused jazz music that would surely keep you entranced from start to finish.
“Old School Heart” is the first single from his upcoming EP entitled The Watcher. The EP is slated for a December release and features instrumentation from some of New Zealand’s most exciting young jazz musicians
Get the single on Spotify.

21-year-old New Zealand musician Arjuna Oakes’s debut EP, The Watcher, is a showcase of his ability as a singer-songwriter, instrumentalist and producer, and a testament to his depth of engagement with music. The first two tracks on the EP fit neatly within the jazz-infused soul music landscape he is quickly becoming part of, but the latter half of the EP is far harder to categorize. Featuring instrumentation from some of New Zealand’s most exciting young jazz musicians, The Watcher explores a wide variety of themes and musical ideas, with Arjuna’s charismatic soul vocals and robust sonic palette serving as a connective thread. From big social issues to personal relationships and internal self-discoveries, across The Watcher, Arjuna takes his cue from the title track and exploration of mass surveillance, and its relevance within our everyday lives. This watcher theme continues throughout the rest of the EP, with the stories told rendered as if being observed by an outside force. Decorated by cinematic soundscapes, hypnotic grooves, creative improvisation and catchy melodies, Arjuna’s debut is a test palette for his future projects, one that makes his enthusiasm to develop and explore themes and style in song abundantly clear.

Meek Mill Celebrates "Championships" On Anniversary: "My New Sh*t Hotter"

It’s officially been a whole year since Meek Mill unleashed his latest album Championships. Meek’s always been consistent when it came to releasing music but this project was running on a different type of momentum. Fresh out of prison while still fighting his legal case, the rapper came through with a project that showcased his skills at its highest level. However, it appears that Championships is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what Meek has in store for the future.

This week marked the one year anniversary of Meek’s Championships. Although he’s made promises of releasing new music since, we’ve yet to receive a new project from the Dream Chasers rapper. However, he continues to tease the masses. Most recently, he hit the ‘Gram to acknowledge the anniversary of his latest album but also, he revealed that whatever he has in store next will be better. “Championships came out last year yesterday …. my new shit hotter than that,” he wrote.

It’s a high bar to set, especially since Meek has a great chance of taking home a Grammy for the album next year. Championships was nominated for Best Rap Album alongside 21 Savage, YBN Cordae, Tyler, The Creator, and Dreamville. Whether Championships takes it home or not will be determined next year but hopefully, Meek blesses us with new music before then.
