The DEA Agent That Targeted Scarface & J. Prince Convicted Of Falsifying Records

Specia agent Chad A. Scott of the Drug EnforcementAdmnistrtion(DEA) has been found guilty on two counts of perjury, three counts of obstruction of justice and two counts of falsifying government records.

The reason you’ll likely care is because this is the same DEA agent famously aired out by J. Prince and Scarface on multiple occasions as the pair repeatedly accused him of corruption.

While he was originally indicted in May, It took a seven-day trial for prosecutors to employ evidence that Scott was guilty of such offenses while serving in areas that included New OrleansaandHouston. Among this evidence were clues that pointed toward Scott allegedly having a Houston drug trafficker purchase a Ford truck for $43,000 and turn the vehicle over to him.

Prosecutors say that Scotts falsified paperwork about the seizure, stating that he seized it in New Orleans instead of Houston, which allowed for the vehicle to be forfeited and given to him as his official mode of transportation by the government.

He is set for sentencing that will take place on December 4th.

Scott’s winding road began with a highly-publicized investigation that he and partner Jack Schumacher launched into J.Prince’s Rap-A-Lot Records. Prince has been vocal about Scott and Schumacher’s alleged efforts to take down his label.

Scarface called out Scott on two different songs, mentioning him in Last of A Dying Breed cuts “Look In My Eyes” and “The Gangsta Shit.”

“They finally caught one of the two DEA agents assigned to take my life over a decade ago,” Prince would pen in an Instagram post following Scott’s indictment. “A decade later the Truth has come to light!!! The very thing I revealed years ago about these two agents, Chad Scott has now been indicted for!”

Shooter Dead In West Texas Shooting After Killing Five, Injuring At Least 20 More

At least five people have died with 21 others injured after a shooter opened fire throughout west Texas Saturday afternoon. Law enforcement confirms that the gunman was shot and killed at a movie theater, believing that he was acting alone.

“This was a joint effort by just a multitude of departments to find this animal and bring him to justice,” Odessa Police Chief Michael Gerke said.

Police say the suspect randomly shot victims throughout the cities of Midland and Odessa. Gerke, in a press conference, detailed the timeline of events revealing that it began with a routine stop when the driver of a gold Honda was pulled over and responded by shooting a Department of Public Safety officer.

Gerke says the gunman traveled into Odessa and began shooting multiple victims. He soon abandoned the car and hijacked a postal truck before continuing his deady rampage.

“The state of Texas and the Department of Public Safety are working closely with local law enforcement to provide resources as needed and deliver justice for this heinous attack,” Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said in a statement. “We will not allow the Lone Star State to be overrun by hatred and violence. We will unite, as Texans always do, to respond to this tragedy […] We offer our unwavering support to the victims, their families, and all the people of Midland and Odessa.”

This marks the second mass shooting to take place in Texas this month. Four weeks ago, a lone gunman killed 22 people in El Paso.

Deante' Hitchcock Lends The Assist On Shamba's "Day Party" Track

This week, Atlanta-based songstress Shamba returns with a quick bite, gifting fans with her four-track Reset EP. Per usual, the soundscapes are the offspring of producer Mike Kalombo as the beatmaker crafts a cohesive sound that finds Shamba floating over routinely mid-tempo offerings laced in keen combinations of skilled instrumentation and trap beats.

For the most part, listeners can catch Shamba going solo, save for project standout “Day Party,” in which she enlists the help of southern spitter Deante’ Hitchcock for a verse on the mellowed out offering. No surprises that Hitchcock effortlessly glides on with a drawl courtesy of Atlanta’s southside to deliver a balanced response to Shamba’s own vocals.  The appearance arrives on the heels of a solid cameo from Deante’ on Revenge Of The Dreamers 3′s “PTSD” cut alongside Omen, St. Beauty and Mereba.

Catch “Day Party” below and be sure to visit Reset in its entirety.

And she let me hit like I’m SahBabii

Kodak Black Shares Reflective Statement From Jail Following Guilty Plea

Kodak Black is now one weekremoved from submitting a guilty plea in his federal gun case.

In a candid moment, the South Florida-bred artist took to social media to give fans an update on his stint behind bars. The visual comes courtesy of a photo featuring Kodak’s fan mail and the usual commissary pickups: Ramen Noodles, Minute Rice, and mackerel fillets.

Under the photo, he begins to reflect on his most recent run-in with the law, citing his failure to stay out of trouble and alluding to a higher being for the rhyme and reason behind his unfortunate circumstances.

“4 Months Ago I Was Jus Facetiming Da Baddest Females On Planet Earth , Na Im Makin Jail Calls Waitin On Mail Call,” he begins. “Ya Sometime I Come Off A Lil Arrogant But You`ll Be Too If You Was Young & Rich Comin Up Out Da Projects , Shiddd I Walked Out A Juvenile Detention Center To Millions Of Dollars #IMAGINEDAT .. On Da Real , Im Feelin Its Sumn God Wanna Show Me Or Want Me To Do Cause Im Steady Going Through Da Same Thing , Hopefully These Lessons Turn To Blessings. I Appreciate Ya`ll Screamin To Me Too LOVE.”

August 22nd marked the date that Kodak and his legal team switched from an originally not guilty plea to his current standing. He’s been in custody since Miami’s Rolling Loud Festival this year and is set to be sentenced on November 13th.

KFC's Plant-Based Beyond Meat Fried Chicken Sold Out In Hours

The fried chicken game got a bit greener and it seems that KFC just found their latest flex. With the rise of veganism in North American diets, KFC partnered with Beyond Meat for their new twist on their classic fried chicken. KFC announced that they’d be testing out their new product at an Atlanta location. Much like Popeyes new chicken sandwich, it appears that KFC didn’t predict the type of response they’d be getting.

The Beyond Fried Chicken seems to be a hit in the ATL. According to Engadget, the KFC location that tested out their Beyond Friend Chicken product was sold out on Aug. 27th within five hours. Lined reportedly “wrapped around the restaurant” since the store opened up. Apparently, within those five hours, they sold just as much meatless fried chicken as they do popcorn chicken in a week.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that KFC will officially add the item on their menu but it’s a good indication. What they need to ultimately find out is whether people want to come back for it. However, it seems likely that is the case. Beyond Meat has already built a great reputation outside of the fast-food world but they’ve yet to dabble into poultry. The partnership between the two companies could end up working out pretty well given the curiosity surrounding the product already.

Disney Plans To Rerelease Classic '90s "Lion King" and "Aladdin" Video Games

Disney is making all the right moves this Fall. They’ve already got their new streaming service going live in a few months, which is having a remarkably good sale right now, and they’ve just announced they will be re-releasing a pair of their classic games from the 1990’s. According to The Hollywood Reporter, both Aladdin and The Lion King will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC as a package deal called Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King. The updated version will be playable in HD quality.

The two games were originally released back in 1993 and 1994 on the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo consoles. They were very popular at the time, selling millions of copies each, so Disney is hoping the capitalize on the nostalgia of that wide fan base as well as a new generation of fans. The release comes at the perfect time for Disney. They are still fresh off the release of a live-action remake of TheLion King as well as a live-action adaptation of Aladdin. Both films were able to surpass $1 billion in earnings at the box office.

Be on the lookout for The Disney Classic Games: Aladdin and The Lion King bundle for $29.99 this Fall.

Fabolous Shares Comment Section Love For Emily B: "The Baddest Of The Bad"

Fabolous and Emily B have made a serious full circle in regards to the troubled past in their relationship. If you can remember, last March Fabolous was booked on domestic abuse charges when he reportedly punched Emily B in the face, threatened to hit her in the head with a baseball bat and threatened to kill her. When Emily’s father arrived at the couple’s home, Fab threatened his father-in-law with scissors after a gun he had in the home was hidden by Emily.

The couple still got back together after the fact and Fabolous quietly served a sentence for the charges. A few weeks back it was suggested the Fab and Emily broke up after Emily’s social media shares suggested so but then the couple was spotted on a date at a strip club putting the break reports to rest.

Now that things seem to be going well between the two, who raise two sons, Fab is back to boasting about his partner and has done so in the comment section of her latest share to Instagram. Emily shared a sexy image to her feed and Fab couldn’t help but comment: “The baddest of the bad. You look amazing babe 😍🖤”

Fab recently shared a post of his own to his Instagram story revealing that he wants to have a daughter. “Always only wanted boys, but recently talked about having a girl. Now I can’t get it off my mind. All my friends who have daughter tell me that daughter LOVE is different,” he wrote.

Ethos is trying to make a “Pretty Penny”

By teckzilla Word Is Bond

The multi-talented act who goes by the moniker Ethos started off as a drummer, guitarist, and bassist in the Cleveland scene before diving headfirst into hip-hop. His new release titled “Pretty Penny” is a laid-back, lo-fi track that dwells on money and the drama that comes with it. As expected, Ethos produced the beat and also got behind the microphone to deliver his unique style of storytelling and off-beat flow.
“Pretty Penny” is taken from his album ‘Pluto’ which can be streamed here.
With two albums under his belt, one major-label release, his name carved into production and feature credits on projects with Wiz Khalifa, Hopsin, Caskey, Rell and fellow Cleveland rapper Chip tha Ripper; and his three biggest (and tiniest) fans, his children, along for the ride; Ethos the Rapper isn’t showing any signs that he’ll be landing that spaceship of his anytime soon.

Check out Cadet’s thought-provoking visual for “Gang Gang”

By teckzilla Word Is Bond

The proclaimed “Underrated Legend”, Cadet, delivers his first posthumously released single titled “Gang Gang”. The LA Beats produced track sees the late star dwelling on the social injustices black men face from being wrongfully targeted by the police. Over a dark, upbeat backdrop, he takes ample time to conceptualize how societal stereotypes can creep into law enforcements perception of black men in general. To makes it even more relatable, the song was inspired by a real-life incident that occurred last year September.
The music video for “Gang Gang”, was directed by Cadet alongside Simon Awkes (Shiro Story) and filmed in London, two weeks before Cadet’s passing.
In February this year Cadet tragically died in a car accident on the way to perform a headline show in Staffordshire. In March, on what would have been Cadet’s 29th Birthday, many artists took to the stage of a poignantly sold out Brixton Academy for The Rated Legend show held in his honour. Those who performed included Stormzy, Lethal Bizzle, Dave, AJ Tracey, Krept & Konan, Big Shaq, Afro B, Yungen and more, with the proceeds from the show going to charitable organization, The Cadet Trust.
Praised for the passion, power and gripping narratives of his lyricism, Cadet was championed by artists such as Stormzy and Wiley and Radio 1/ 1Xtra DJS Charlie Sloth and DJ Semtex and received a UEA Award for ‘Best Rapper’ in 2017. He supported Krept & Konan on their ‘The Long Way Home Tour’ and Bugzy Malone on his ‘Walk With Me Tour’, and performed at Wireless Festival in 2017.
