Rayven Justice & Too $hort Link Back Up On "Blues Clues"

Rayven Justice is arranging for the arrival of his ESO: East Side Oakland project, but until that arrives the young emcee has linked back up with veteran and fellow Oakland native Too $hort for the assist on his latest “Blues Clues” track, an ode to the antics that take place in gentlemen’s clubs across the globe.

The content here isn’t much of a novice idea as both men trade off on boasts of their propensity to bring more than enough blue bills to your local strip club, hence the clever title and accompanying artwork.

While ESO has no official release date as of yet, Justice has certainly crafted a routine of singles that point toward one exciting project.

Kevin Durant Will Join The Brookyln Nets

As promised, Kevin Durant has officially announced his decision to move forward with the Brooklyn Nets, migrating away from the West Coast with The Board Room making the official announcement via Instagram Sunday evening.

The post indicates that the deal is a max contract, meaning that the superstar will earn $164 million with Brooklyn over the next four years.

It marks a major disappointment for the New York Knicks who were, for some time, the frontrunners in courting Durant pending his free agency. More than likely, Durant won’t touch the court at Barclays Center during this first season as he recovers from a torn Achilles suffered during this last stint with the Golden State Warriors.

The Warriors were prepared to keep Durant, offering the player a five-year $221 million max deal. It ultimately proved to be ineffective. Durant will now join Kyrie Irving who is slated to confirm his deal with Brooklyn as well. Reports also suggest that DeAndre Jordan, a close friend of KD’s, could very well follow behind him and head to New York as well.

July 6th is the date in which all deals will be finalized.

Gallant Drops Off "Sharpest Edges" Video

After sharing his T-Pain-assisted “Gentleman,” Gallant returned this month with his first new drop of the year with his “Sharpest Edges” single. Now, the crooner touches down to deliver on a visual supplement for the track, crafting an homage to a woman that seems to be bad for his health as he battles somewhere between staying or leaving.

In the clip, the illustrated woman follows Gallant around his home up until he has finally freed himself of her, but not before she pierces his window with a high heel in a good old-fashioned moment of vindication.

Catch the Bennett Johnson-directed clip up top.

Everything "Wrong" With "Captain Marvel" Is Compiled In This Video: Watch

There a number of highly-received entries in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that are members of the billion-dollar club, including Captain Marvel. But, as we’ve we all know, that doesn’t mean it’s exempt from the infamous CinemaSins take-down. In a convenient super-cut that sits just under 17 minutes, everything that is supposedly wrong with the movie is highlighted for your viewing pleasure.

Things take off with a bad start, as the boilerplate witty banter fight sequence is shown, and from there it’s highlighted that the movie takes a little too long to explain Carol Danvers’ backstory – in which she’s told she’s not good enough more often than is probably necessary. Nothing is safe though, as the video proceeds to rip apart all the ’90s references, as well as, the placement of the VHS tapes in the Blockbuster store she crash lands in. In total, CinemaSins deduces that Captain Marvel has a whopping total of 97 movie sins. As a reference, they pointed out that the (arguably, even more) brilliant Black Panther had 105, while the lengthy Avengers: Infinity War had 128. Still, despite its “sins,” the Brie Larson film reviewed remarkably well, snagging an impressive 78% on Rotten Tomatoes. While it isn’t as universally praised as some of the strongest Marvel movies, it’s clear that it has its fans.

Derrick Rose & Detroit Pistons Are Working Out A 2-Year Contract

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski has learned that former NBA MVP Derrick Rose will meet with Pistons' management in the hopes of securing a two-year deal. Both sides are believed to be highly motivated to reach an agreement. Think of it this way: the Pistons' backcourt is in dire need of a warm body, any warm body - on the other hand, Detroit is one of the few franchises who'd willingly offered him a starting berth, let alone the keys to the offense. Bear in mind, Rose hasn't started for an NBA team in some time, and Reggie Jackson isn't just going to keel over in defeat. But with Jackson and Rose pushing each other for playing time, there's a reason to believe, the team's "accountability" would increase tenfold with him on the payroll.Gregory Shamus/Getty ImagesAfter successive redshirt seasons, Derrick Rose finally re-emerged as a viable NBA player with the Minnesota Timberwolves last season. Although he only started 13 games for the franchise, Rose's professionalism was counted upon in the wake of Jimmy Butler's calamitous exit. Rose's play even landed him a few votes for NBA silverware, which he ultimately fell short of garnering. The 2019-2020 season will be Rose's 11th in the league if you count the years spent toiling in the infirmary. With 3 All-Star berths to his credit, an MVP award, and career averages of 18.8 points and 5.6 assists - Derrick Rose is never one to wait by the phone in a cross-legged position.

Ticketmaster Canada Inflated Ticket Prices, Slapped With $3.4 Million Dollar Fine

Ticketmaster Canada is in a hot, burning seat right now. If you have ever purchased tickets from the company, you may have been disappointed to see a noticeably high fee for "processing and handling" which was slapped onto the price of the ticket in your cart. And now, the authorities have gotten word of it and slapped Ticketmaster with a major fine by the Canadian Competition Bureau. Accordingly, the company must pay up $4.5 million dollars CAD, which is approximately $3.4 million dollars USD, because they have been profiting from the inflated ticket prices for years. Moreover, they were also believed to be falsely advertising prices to lure in clients. The actual word from the Canadian Competition Bureau is that the company is being fined for "allegedly misleading pricing claims in online ticket sales." Kevork Djansezian/Getty ImagesA statement was released by the CCB: "The Bureau’s investigation concluded that Ticketmaster’s advertised prices were not attainable because they added mandatory fees during the later stages of the purchasing process. In the Bureau’s view, the price representations were misleading even though the amount of the fees was disclosed before consumers completed their transaction. The Bureau concluded that the additional fees often added more than 20% and, in some cases, over 65% to the advertised prices." The Bureau's Commissioner of Competition, Matthew Boswell, affirms he will remain vigilant with ticket platforms and the advertising of ticket prices on other platforms for the safety of ticket purchasers. [Via]

Mustard Floods "Baguettes In The Face" Of NAV, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie & Playboi Carti

Mustard’s Perfect Ten album ranks among the most notable album submissions to come out this past week. Within those crowd-sourced efforts lies the ever-so-soothing “Baguettes in the Face” with contributions from the bantamweight trio of A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Playboi Carti, and NAV, who interestingly enough, does much of the legwork on the song.

Baguettes in the Face begins with a weeping guitar reminiscent of the candlelit seance. In terms of theme and layout, NAV fails to disappoint. When asked to co-opt the role of a Robb Report columnist, the Rexdale, Ontario native becomes a method actor with a beguiling twist. Picture a street peddler with Baguettes on his wrist and neck, whose solicitous demands are not material, but philosophical in nature. It was NAV after all, who prophetically set the bar at TMZ or BUST…2019 has been kind to Mustard, as he relishes Ella Mai’s next venture, a healthy correspondence with 03 Greedo, and a possible successor to Perfect Ten. Not to mention: the obsessive task of keeping “his waves” at a standard of excellence. How did you feel about “Baguettes in the Face,” the album in general? – comment below.

Quotable Lyrics:

If she don’t know how to dress, I don’t wanna talk
But I might still get some top
I don’t need her but my pocket full of knots
Number one, there’s finally real ones at the top
I’m with Mustard and we talking Lambo’ talk.
