Here’s everything we know about ‘The Crown’ season 2

Fan of the royal family or not, The Crown‘s thematic tensions had viewers wanting more of the Netflix original series. At the end of season 1 we were left with a sick-looking Eden popping pills and shooting drugs. Meanwhile Elizabeth became “Elizabeth Regina,” a woman who sacrificed her sister and husband for the kingdom.

Peter Morgan, series writer, is planning to tell the Queen’s story in six seasons. Here’s what we know about the next section of the tale.

The Crownseason 2 plot

The season will follow Queen Elizabeth II’s life from the late 1950s to early 1960s. The timeline points hints at the birth of Prince’s Andrew (1960) and Edward (1964). The season is rumored to focus more on Phillip, according to Digital Spy.

The Crown season 2 trailer

On Aug. 10, Netflix surprised fans with a chillingly dark season 2 trailer. The trailer revealed Michael C. Hall as President John F. Kennedy. We are also greeted to a newly bearded Prince Phillip.The fashion of the ’60s is also prominent. Besides that the trailer reveals ample traveling, and lots of dark and adulterous corner.

The Crownseason 2 cast

The royal actors are expected to be replaced in seasons to come to match the age progression of the show.Claire Foy (Queen Elizabeth) and Matt Smith (Prince Philip) will be back for The Crownseason 2. As for newly added cast members, Michael C. Hall and Jodi Balfour will join the team as President John F. Kennedy and first lady Jackie Kennedy, respectively.
